Finished the 727 automatic with shift kit, bolted to block to mockup kickdown linkage.
Because of the added height of aluminum intake it changes all throttle geometry, so
for kickdown to engage properly at part throttle much attention has to be paid to this
area when using stock linkage. Locar makes a cable set up but it's not cheap and the
original can be made to operate correctly. Plus I redid the power steering pump and
pulley setup I had built. It still wasn't going to be high enough to clear frame horn.
So completely revamped a original power steering/pump & bracket plus changed
Alternator to operate off same belt as water pump. Chrysler built no less than six
different power steering brackets with a variety of pulleys, finding the right system
can take some time on a 55 plus year old engine. Plus they used three different pumps
and brackets are not swappable. But this works and belts are straight with pulleys.

Reason it went back on the stand was to install 6qt truck pan & pickup tube, plus exhaust
manifolds and wires. Built it to go in 2WD, for the fact there are no cars left in
reasonable condition plus want way too much for a 2dr coupe. Will find a early 80's 2wd
that isn't beat to hell, there are some of those left.

I am looking for a vehicle and would like to find a 2wd pickup. I have seen a couple older Dodge pickups but they are not very close by me. One bad thing is i am a mechanic and probably shouldnt buy anything that needs work. I had a 1984 Dodge van slant 6 with a 4 speed OD trans . I wish i had it back now along with several other rigs now that i need something to drive.

If any of you happen to run across one these and priced under 300 buy it. Ford people
will pay bucks for one of these just to hang on the wall.

That is what i need for my 1964 330 HD
What that is--1966/67 factory aluminum 427 Sidewinder medium riser. The carb is positioned
1.5 inches to left side to create even flow. All standard FE Ford intake manifolds plus most
aftermarket have a lean issue with #2/3 intake runners. This manifold corrects that, but it
is made for large intake port heads.

I need a set of heads to? I have a exhaust leak at one of the manifolds so i could fix this at the same time. I have less than $1000.00 in this truck that would bring this up.

Trouble with the olden days, it didn't matter whether dirt got in a engine because
machining, materials, and oils were poor quality. Engine covers & filtration were
down the list and pressure lube systems were not standard.
