BCFP Renfrew Div. #797 Skagit 120 ft. Telescoping tower , on a Winter's day . #16-39 a Northwest log loader . View attachment 271729 View attachment 271730

Just thinking about how nice it is to sit at my desk in a 68 degree house, not having to think about feeding the burn barrel. I enjoy the photos and they really make me appreciate not having to be out in it anymore. And my toes don't get numb anymore either.

Fond memories . Soaked to the skin , but as long as you were reasonably warm , one could keep going . Paying to work out in a Gym was unheard of . The good old day's , and when the rigging comes back , you don't have to run , you don't have to walk , you don't have to crawl , fly you ba****ds , fly .LOL

BCFP Renfrew Div. #762 Skagit 120 ft. Telescoping Slackline Tower . This Tower came to the division new with a Slackline winch that had been previously been mounted on a Wooden sleigh in 1966 . Sometime in the mid 1970's the original Skagit winch was replaced with a Madill Slackline Winch . This is a picture of the #762 parked at Honeymoon Bay DLS Shop in the mid 1980's . The tower had been sold to an American Company and was waiting to be moved to its next operation .scan580.jpg

Bob MacMillan Photo BCFP Renfrew Div. #663 Skagit 120 ft. telescoping tower with Tyee Slackline winch . Summer 1970 , I remember this setting , it was a high lead setting we put a full long splice in the haulback . The loader is a model 6 Northwest grade shovel converted to a log loader . I was Landing Man (2nd loader / chaser) , it was the first time I had a day on my own running the #79 Loader .scan69.jpg
