    The linkage moves freely both ways. There is a 4 wires plug connected to the top of valve. Should I be testing resistance or voltage next ? the plug is numbered 1 to 4.

    I have the same problem with a CASE 580 SM 2. If I push & hold the switch the light comes on and the backhoe functions work. As soon as I let go, the light turns off and the hydraulic stops working. Is the switch the problem or the relay ?
