Best truck dealer out West to do consignment with

I was just referring to my little part of the planet. I should have been more clear. I have no clue what’s happening in the real world.

Best truck dealer out West to do consignment with

That took awhile to sell. Glad you found a buyer. Sounds like a decent deal for both parties. I’ll keep an eye out for it. Despite the overall economy being flat, on paper, companies are buying a good amount of equipment in Q1 26. Lots of speculation waiting for the big projects to start.

    2004 International 7300

Good choice. The XDN2 might have been one of the best all-around, winter condition, vocational tires available. I hope the replacement is just as good. How long before someone gives you crap about putting a drive tire on a steer axle? Lol

    Question on Undercarriage Rebuild

Don’t tease me with a good time, Clampet. You supply the prescription pain killers, Zyn and alcohol, and you can count on me for six complete U/C overhauls. I’m your huckleberry. I’d go with Caterpillar and/or Cat Legacy. Give your Butler PSSR something to do.

    Source for new decals

I should bring the ladies to your place for the crafting parties. You got the hook-up. All the cool toys.

    CAT EGR

Low production numbers, constant software updates, ridiculously heavy and cumbersome system with lots of tubing, and so on. From a dealer perspective, top level truck engine techs were hard to find and employ. Many didn’t want to work on iron, in between the occasional truck engine...

Too early to tell if DEF is going away?

Cat got jammed up from a batch of engines in 02/03 and had to retire all their Nox credits.

I’ve got a cricut for crafting with the ladies. lol. It’s great for making decals ASAP.

Too early to tell if DEF is going away?

Cat jumps in markets, and leaves those markets, so fast. It just depends on what is profitable to them. Truck engines became un-profitable in the scheme of things.

    Source for new decals

In 2026, with the web-based, AI supported graphics art software available today, anybody can make better than OEM vinyl decals. For cheap. I use two different suppliers. But, my favorite is this young lady in Anchorage. She does a lot of work for the local trucking & O&G companies. But, you...

I believe so. I haven’t been to JNU for awhile, but I believe She is still delivering the mail.

    CAT EGR

Part number 295-3099. Screwed into the ARD head. The dash looked like a Christmas tree most of the time, and it operated in de-rate mode for 90% of its life. But, top speed from the tank farm, through downtown is 25MPH, on a good day between the narrow streets, traffic and tourists. So...

Too early to tell if DEF is going away?

I don’t see it going away, maybe some EPA approved software updates to go easy on de-rating. What I do see is possibly no more Fed enforcement on delete parts and shops. We could possibly get by for three years until the next regime takes over. Fleets could save $ millions.

    CAT EGR

I had one of those goofy things in a 08, T800. One of the very last, on-highway C15 ACERT engines. Despite the lawsuits & overall hate, it was surprisingly reliable for us. She even had a single spark plug. Whoduthunkit?

    Buyers 10 ton Pintle Hitch

Make no mistake about it. I’d be proud to tow with a hitch from O-Hi-O. Reminds me of that David Allan Coe tune, I’m an Ohio Boy.

I second that. Definitely upgrade to the Premier 2300.

Toyota 7FGU30 No crank/No start please help

Welcome to the HEF, BTW. I had some 7FGU30 units I took care of at a petroleum warehouse. I don’t recall them being able to crank unless a butt was in the seat. I could be wrong. I would try and rule that out, before you spend anymore time troubleshooting.

I worked on Dall Island too, but I think I was there in 99. Harvey Vahn was doing a show for KPC. I think.

Where is the vin number plate on my 2007 Kenworth T800

Sticker on the door jam, which is apparently missing. Only other full vin sequence is the one on the frame rail. Which is probably inaccessible at first glance.
