As JaredV explains, the pads under the blade assembly are clearly seen in my pictures.
This machine was rebuilt before being scrapped by the national energy companies (as is the norm).
It’s technically fit to work many more years in a poor country working the coal stockpiles in power stations.
Spares would be probably ok to find,but for the cost of it,if its owner could get 3 months out of it,it would have easily have paid for itself.
The problem is with any old equipment that isn’t Caterpillar,is that it simply isn’t Caterpillar.
I urge anyone to consider that when buying old equipment.
