Get gear oil on my clothing, then as I washed my own the soap would not remove the gear oil odor. Only uniform service clothes that were severely chemically cleaned would not retain the smell of gear oil.

It’s funny that gear oil, whatever the weight, doesn’t smell that bad, till it gets used.
Someone should do a study on how long it takes, to smell nasty?

Allison MD3060-P Quick Guide

  • MODE button → Economy (earlier shifts) vs. Performance (holds gears longer).
  • D1–D5 → Limits highest gear:
    • D1 = max braking/climbs
    • D2 = slippery starts
    • D3 = hills/stop-go
    • D4 = secondary roads
    • D5 = normal driving (default).
Use Performance when towing, Economy for fuel savings.

Just practice work!!
I made a drill guide and that helps a lot. Once I drill through the broken piece, it usually comes out with an EZ out. One of them wouldn't and I had to drill it to size and use a tap to clean out the thread remnants.

Can this fitting on the air tank be used to connect an air hose for filling tires, using a blow gun, etc?

What's that type of quick connect fitting called? I tried searching for air line connectors but almost everything that comes up is for shop air fittings which are obviously much different. It almost looks more like a hydraulic fitting.

You could just unscrew the test fitting, and install a female milton coupler.

I would replace all the studs at once, both sides. They will be easier to fix before they break. Then you would know if you have something else going on that is breaking the studs, or if they were just all overtightened.

Big trucks is what I know. HAZMAT is what I tow.

Let’s just back up, a little bit. But, have you tried the new Grape Flavored AC Delco part #88900401) 75W-90 synthetic axle lubricant? Same performance, new grape scent.

It’s the bomb.

I don't know the coupler, mine has a conventional coupler. They don't last real long. I probably have to replace them every few years. Quite handy, I had a front tire on the backhoe come off the rim. I didn't have the hose for unknown reason, had to drive a few miles to get it.
