We need to make information, follow and photo the lines from the end of the arm back to the MCV, explain how you activate the option line (Pedal - button - switch?) .
Post this and we will try to help.
Kind regards

Ok so unfortunately I don't have pictures but I would try to explain it the best I can. So it's activated by a foot pedal which can only go in one direction. From that pedal there are 3 lines, one tank, one pressure and the other goes to one end of the spool on the MCV. The other end of the spool on the MCV has a line which runs back into the pilot manifold. There is a switch on the right joystick lever, I would assume when this is pressed it would have switch direction of flow from foot pedal but it doesn't seem to work. I could not locate any type of divert valve or any solenoid to control this. Only solenoids I found were 2 on pilot manifold, one was for the hydraulic lock off and the other I assume is for 2 speed tracking.

Good day
Your describe a one way option line mostly intended for hammer, the question is how does the return line connect, to make use of this it must connect to the oposing side of the spool (MCV). The spool will require independant activation - two way pedal - another soleniod valve. This is all a guess from me I cannot help you more without solid input from you.

The return I'm guessing is the opposing end off the spool which runs back into pilot manifold. I'm guessing that would be the return side.
