The problem was found! I don't know how it got there but I found a single 8 inch long hair wrapped around the flyweight shaft right at the drive gear. There is only one person in this house that has grey hair that long and its not me or the pets. Wifey sheds hair worse than the pets do, at least she still grows it back!

Through some fancy manipulation wrapped with a sense of humor, she came in with her brother and started digging this hair out. I stood there with a beer in hand and a grin on my face. I let THEM fix it, but took all the credit for the troubleshooting mastery I possess. She even cleaned the dust bunnies out of it with her own tweezers lol.

Hard to understand how she could keep you out of the loop but she probably knew what your reaction would be.
I'm guessing the fallout with the kids hurt her more than she let on and selling the business is her way of moving on. She probably assumed that the kids would take over and keep the business going in the family as she did.
