I recently picked up a tb145 to use on my property. I’m going through it now and fixing up leaks ect My 1st question is about leaking pilot controls … I called to get price on rebuild kit and was told $100 per side. I found it online cheaper . The kits is just some o-rings. Should I replace the pushers or anything other parts? Is there an expanded diagram of the pilot controls ? Any tips tricks ect ? Also looking to add a hydraulic thumb but my arm doesn’t have the top mount for the hydraulic cylinder … any thumb brands you guys recommend? Also directions on setting pressure to the aux hydraulics? I have seen several tb145s with broken arms due to improper welding for thumb or too high pressure to the thumb . Lastly can anyone post a picture of your battery compartment area ? I want to see how the electric fuel pump and water separator ect are mounted in that area . I’m sure I’ll have more questions as I go through the machine . Thanks !

Dealers used to give out digital copies for free.
Sweet i will ask… I messaged my authorized dealer who I have been buying parts from and he doesn’t have a copy.

I bought a c/d workshop manual off ebay for my TB 135, As you mentioned I believe it included the 145's.

Try out Ox Thumbs. I originally found them via ebay. They have a website as well. I've installed 3 of their thumbs on my yanmar vio35-6a's. Very stout claw, high quality cylinder with spherical bearings, and the kit includes hoses, quick connects, longer main pin, and a weld on mount for the stick if you ask them. I don't think their website lists one specifically for a tb145, but call them and I bet they can make you one in the ballpark of $1700-2200.
Got a copy of the manual.
As far as thumbs …are the pin on about the same as the OX kind that weld on ? Any thing to watch for when buying hydraulic thumbs ?
Also will be buying some rubber tracks soon . What are key points to watch for or ask about when buying tracks ? Pattern that will work well? I’m looking to use the machine on my property old creek bed so smooth rocks of various size , across grass, on dirt/ clay/ mud. I’m pretty sure the size is 400x72.5 N x74 after counting measuring but I can’t see the size on the current tracks.

My research into rubber tracks led me to Tractor and Equipment Co. in Birmingham, Al. They are local to me, but surely will ship. KTSU is brand name they sell.I'm very satisfied with them. They came highly recommended to me from excavator owners near me.

The ox thumb is a "main pin" thumb. The claw rotates on the same pin as the bucket, like in this photo:
A "weld-on" thumb has a separate bracket that is welded to the end of the stick, close to the bucket pin, like this:
Both thumb styles will require welding a bracket to the top of the stick for the hydraulic cylinder to attach to, unless obviously your machine already has that bracket.
I just got a quote from them . How long have you had your tacks and how are they holding up ?

My tracks have about 350 hours n them and the little lines on the pads are all still there. It's only been on my property-,no rocks or pavement at all, but I'd certainly buy more from them if needed. Mine were $3400 when purchased last spring.

I bought pilot control repair kit from my dealer. Cant remember what was all in it but it was fairly easy job and fixed my leak. Be careful as a small part fell out or shout out under spring tension when I took it apart and almost lost the little part in the gravel, needed my metal detector to find it.
I bought the kit from dealer … need to decide if I should remove the hoses and bring to work bench or try it there in the machine ? I hear you can do it either way … work bench might be safer with all the small parts .
