I've never seen one.

I wonder how the threaded latch bolt would work with our winters in North America. Snow, ice, and salt/deicer are a real maintenance issue for anything using a threaded connection.
Threaded chain binders come to mind...

Along with that is the discomfort of crouching under a truck box that's dripping icy, salty, water down your back while your coupling or uncoupling...

It's probably not as bad as I think it would be. I'm used to the speed of coupling or uncoupling a pintle hitch...

What is the benefit of the Bartlett coupling over the Ringfeder?

I think the Ringfeder looks like an improvement over the pintle hitch.

Ringfeder is the way to go, if it suits the application.
Only downside and really the only reason Bartlett Balls exist is that a Ringfeder can't handle downweight.

All the converter dolly's used to make up our roads trains are tandem or tri axle and therefore self supporting, ie don't put any drawbar weight (apart from the drawbar mass itself) onto the Ringfeder hitch.
All converter dolly's also have a hinged drawbar, Bartlett Ball drawbars will be rigid.

Bartlett Ball, Pintle Hitch etc all are rated for substantial vertical load, Ringfeder isn't.

Cannot beat simplicity. Standard Pintle or typical Holland style fifth wheels. All others overcomplicate to extremes add no intrinsic safety.

This company has been building easy replace for a while-in 2" & 3.5" and gives a rundown on
specifications. Funny thing is the idea of replacement pins was SAE all the way back to the
concept of fifthwheels, never changed till late 90's.
