hi. the company I work for has a 930a mustang loader. it did not come with any manuals at all. I am having a problem with cold starts or the first start of the day, it just cranks and cranks til the battery goes just about dead and fineally she starts. im worried that if it gets any colder outside that I wont be able to start it at all. this becomes a problem because it is stored in a non-heated structure. is there anyone that could point me towards a solution for this problem?:Banghead thank you jay.

Is the 930 a diesel? Sorry for the dumb question! I'm not familiar with the 930.

Does this motor have low compression? Is a ring job in order? How about the valves? Compression test the motor and post results.

Have you made sure that there is no air getting into the fuel lines while the machine sits? Replace all your fuel lines and make sure all the clamps are tight.

The problem appears to be related to the cold? How about a block heater, plugged in overnight, to give the motor some heat and make it easier to start? They make those "dipstick heaters" that you can just stick down the dipstick tube. Heats up the engine oil and transfers heat to the block.

Or how about the old trick of taking a hair dryer and forcing hot air into the intake while cranking first thing in the morning? See if that helps!

A 930A should have a Yanmar 3TN82 diesel in it, which uses an air preheater as a cold-start aid. First off, are you using the preheater on cold mornings? If you are using it, is the preheater actually working? Shouldn't be difficult to troubleshoot the preheater. If it's working, then its time to dig in a little deeper. A block heater is a good suggestion, but I'm not a fan of the dipstick heaters.

+1 on the fuel lines. Sounds like it is loosing prime when it sits overnight.
