It is a 2004 w/4300 hours, owner claims "tight and powerful" no leaks. It looks clean in the pictures. Drive sprockets nice square tips, metal track looks to be in good condition. I spoke to him about it he said he had it for 3 months got it from a guy who used it to do septics and he had just treated himself to a brand new machine. Price was too high but he is willing to negotiate.

At the end of our phone conversation I asked him if he would let me take an oil sample. He said that he had pulled one when he bought it and had the paperwork from Komatsu and would send it to me. Great I thought. I texted him my email address.

He replied to the text a few hours later saying he would send the report, and that "I had it done because it does blow white smoke once in a while". The seller is an operator.

This to me is a red flag. But I have never owned heavy equipment, or even a diesel. I am good at wrenching on cars and bikes. To me first thought was minor head gasket issue that maybe only leaked under load. But after some research it looks like it could be any number of things including injectors.

I have one of those testers you put on a radiator and pump it, tester is filled with detection liquid, and it changes from blue to yellow in the presence of CO. Should I bring this with me and test it?

I have had no luck after hours of searching finding anything like a parts fiche for this machine or any online manuals. Or really any detailed maintenance procedures on youtube or forums. Honestly surprised at how little information I can find on these guys, even komatsu website I can't find parts diagrams. Are these machines poorly supported or is that just how it is with heavy equipment?

I plan to use the machine to clear some land, cut in a driveway and dig a couple foundations.

Can I have some tips fellas?

Thanks.

Anyone have suggestions for Doosan? I'm trying to find parts for a Doosan Solar 75V. I don't know what year but SN is 1495.

F&W equipment in Orange CT or Westchester tractor just outside of Brewster NY. They are both Doosan dealers
