All Hitachi and Deere Forestry machines are made right here in BC. Aldergrove to be specific. Someone said they're making 13 a month right now.

Yep, they come out of the Deere Hitachi Specialty Products shop. I don't know where cat builds the FM's though.

I believe its more like, 1.3 a day. Brandt takes about 60 percent of everything that comes out of that plant, and there waiting list is into October.

Those machines are owned by Rognlins, who owns Northwest Rock Quarries Inc, . Not sure what quarry that was in but they are based out of Aberdeen, WA. I believe they own almost all the quarries/gravel pits around the harbor (Quigg Bros. own 1 i think) and I am pretty sure they are sorting and loading rock for the jetty at Westport, WA.
here is a link to pictures of the jetty work on rognlins website.

this is one of our loaders an old Komat'su PC200LC with a 5/8 cd Superior clam on it. I can load 13-16 cd of 8ft. poplar in about 25-35 minutes with it. Good machine, just needs a final drive.

Ronglins bought out Friend & Rikalo some time ago, and took over all their quarries. I'm so old, as a young lad, I knew Sam Rikalo when he was still alive. He and Don Friend were close friends of my father's.

I used to go to school with Randy Ronglin years ago, in Central Park. His dad built our family's house. They say Randy lives high on the hog these days.

Small world.
