The log loader shown after the Canfor machine, would be made by Chapman industries. On the design table they show a pamphlet with a CH122. Some of the Chapman modified machines would drop the U and place a C in the model. I don’t recognize any of the people at the table but that would have been before the UH181 so early to mid 80’s

Yes. And they even made either a CH122FB or an FB122. Feller buncher. The 122 Achilles Heel was the travel motors. Didn’t last too long.

Started my apprenticeship with Chapman Industries in 1987. Later that year we were bought out by Cypress Equipment. I spent 5 years at Plant 3 the old Chapman plant. Then I transferred to Campbell River and lived in Courtenay. Seen a lot of the coast on service calls. Eventually we became Wajax. Stayed there till 2009. Got layed off so went to work for Wajax in Fort Mac. Stayed there till 2016. Then started at Wajax Nanaimo. I have been on the tools till a few years ago and now do Product Support for Wajax. Still live in Courtenay. So I have worked on Hitachi 17 machines to Hitachi 8000 machines. And worked on new UH181 to the the ZX series. That’s it in a nutshell.
