Most.people I see at a parts store don't know the difference between an alternator and a thermostat unless the computer shows themCurious, old and sorta simple minded... Why not take the existing thermos to NAPA of some other parts house and ask then to match. Most had some ID of mfg numbers and of course temp range.
Matched size/shape and desired temp range, what's the worry?
What is the make and model of the forklift?i could do that altho my success with local auto parts stores / napa has been so low i didn't even think of it. I ordered a Gates number that i matched from a spec sheet that matches very close to what i have.
A Gates #33509 thermo is for the Chevy 350 that should be in it.Its a Baker York TY150 if i am reading the plate right. somewhat faded... the thermostat that i matched up for it worked in the end. thanks folks!
