New Holland says the old part number 76598682 supersedes, but doesn't list the new number. Orphan child machine, sorry. What's the track pitch and how many teeth on the sprocket?

Geeze..... That LA378 goes back to a Massey-Ferguson 200 dozer, replacement weld on rim. Nothing jumps off the shelf, I'll do some research and see if we can find something that will work. Have a good weekend!

Yeah, nobody likes to give out drawings, even if they don't make it anymore. So, the original rim is not an LA378? Where did you come up with that number then? The pictures I can find of the DC70 it looks like the sprockets are originally made with a machined center plate and a welded on rim, yes? Can you measure the width of the rim, is it 55mm wide or 48mm wide? Not a lot of difference but it may be a clue. Place in Italy may have some rims that will work.

There has been a lot of suggestions that this model and some others were made for FIAT, badged as New Holland, by a company called Macmoter. They are no longer in existence and with the rearrangement of the FIAT/Case-New Holland-Kobelco-Hitachi, et al partnerships and joint ventures, there are lots of orphan stepchildren out there. My local New Holland parts guru told me he showed a price from NH of over $1,400 each for those sprockets, but no availability and he got the message "Contract Violation" so he couldn't order them even if somebody was crazy enough to pay that?

If I can find the right rim I may bring in a half dozen just to have for people that need them, not sure how many of these machines are out there but it's crazy for something this new to not have wear parts readily available. There was another guy on here looking for a DC70 final drive, I think I have that figured out but he just kind of disappeared before we confirmed it.

I think I was in contact with the guy on the final he was from cedar falls I was talking to him about these sprockets and it is sick what he paid for a final

From what I understand about these dc 70s your correct with macmoter there is(from what im told)a dc 70 from first production to 2002 then dc 70 b from 2002 and to there dimize. Now the pre 2002 were all made with massey ferguson under carriage thats were the LA 378 and the LA 333 came into play because they have the 140.0mm pitch 27 teeth and they are 55.0mm wide, the 378 was a rim the 333 was complete sprocket.

I cant remember about my sprocket on my dc 70 being(it is in the mountian about 3 hrs away)machined and the rim being welded on but im pretty sure you are correct on that and yes im like you I build things get things done but I dont have time to be down for you see I have built a post pounder & fence stretcher on my dozer and should b working today and it is the only machine I have. I dont think Ill be paying 1400 bucks a piece for NH sprockets either but if you could find me some la 378 rims from italy thro me a price , Im currently trying to find a old massey ferguson 200 dozer for they have the same rim as my dc 70. I did find a 200b but trying to find out if sprockets are the same between the 200 and the 200b

As far as the MF200 and the 200B, the parts books are available at: http://www.minnpar.com/manuals.asp Looks like they both have the same part number for the sprockets. If you do get MF200(B) sprockets you'll have to have somebody machine the rim sections off to weld onto your existing adapter plates. If you're in a bind which it sounds like you are this might get you up and running, but it's a ton of work for used sprocket teeth. Not trying to dissuade you at all, just rambling.

Yeah, I think they were trying to sell him a DC80 drive when I last talked to him, which aside from being $25,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! won't fit a DC70, completely different animals of course. Would be interesting to know what he ended up doing. I'll let you know what I turn up.

LOL, works for me, I can probably use the help. Biggest problem so far is of course lack of money, exacerbated by my poor business sense. I'm pretty good at building things, just never seem to be able to stay on budget!
