Good to know if parts will be a problem if you keep it or it needs other than minor repairs.

this site give you parts numbers and cross referenced numbers.. it may take some digging to find the piece needed but it hasn't failed me yet. They shipped the trunnions and caps from Italy in 3 days.dont have a clue how and it was less then 400$ a side for parts they do most all heavy equipment as well

Mornin yall. I was finally able to get some time run the machine this week with the gauge on it and get some numbers.

250psi idle on start up

310 psi full tilt
300 in reverse on brakes turning
300psi in forward on load

After it reaches temp I'd say in the 65-75C range on the old gauge it starts kicking out of gear, almost as if half selected.the pressure tanks to 75-ish psi and when it engages again it bounces back to the 300 range and doesn't slip or disengage until the shifter is moved. As it gets warmer it doesn't even feel like it partially is in gear and if ya let it cool down, or force it to by pouring water on it, it brings the temp down and it will engage into 1st gear and push fine for a little while till it warms up 2nd and 3rd gear pressures are also in the 300 range and the only time the coupling stalls is when you load it up hard...may just be myself being hopeful but It seems like it could be a pressure relief valve with a weak spring somewhere to me.. any thoughts?
The D65E - 6 would be fitted with the Cummins NH220 motor, the steering pump and the transmission pump are to the left side of the engine back case as you sit, the oil level for the transmission is I feel not checked with a running engine, the steering case oil level being checked on the back wall of the main case by the F/Drive level plugs, under the floor plates are 2 high pressure filters with purge plugs on the lids that can be removed to pressure test the transmission and steering using the required fittings and 0 to 600 psi gauge's, there is also a suction filter in the transmission below the drive spider, also a suction filter for the steering with a 3 bolt fastening to the lid under your left foot as you sit, do your checks and print what you find.

Any spring from 1977 vintage will have weakened guaranteed. Shimming may help or new spring but don't be too optimistic of getting one from dealers.
Lots not available but could be something good used somewhere.
