Jd 6115r error code help

Hi all, got a new error code on our John Deere it is 505.07 ‘gear limited due to invalid wheel speed’
We replaced the speed sensor a year a go. Hoping it isn’t something to do with that again.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds to me like you've already diagnosed it, sorry to say. Check the wiring of course, and maybe pull the sensor to check for any obvious mechanical issues with the tooth wheel and such, but it's a fair bet this is a repeat.

Thanks for the reply, was thinking so.
Last time a sensor went it was 191.17 ‘transmission speed to low’
Is the transmission speed sensor same as ground speed sensor as nothing is showing on speedometer?

I don't know enough to tell you one way or the other, in the parts catalogs there's several variations depending on US or European version, etc. then a list of drive options like with or without creeper. Also the front wheel drive has it's own speed sensor which may be something to look at? Did you have the all wheel drive engaged?

Showing one in the range box?

Need a Deere AG mechanic to chime in.

Yeah we would have had 4wd engaged, can’t go to far on our farm without it engaged. We just changed the CV joint on the front right wheel. Maybe that has something to do with it. Will try it in 2wd and see if that stops it, Atleast that will narrow things down. Didn’t see any sensors around the front, doesn’t mean there isn’t any.
No creeper, made in Germany, so European I am thinking

Looks like if it has a front sensor it will be in the housing for the front output on the transmission, and then there's the one in the range box housing I think which is more likely to be connected to the speedometer? Way out of my range of experience, sorry.
