There is a screen filter further back towards the firewall. Blue slotted cannister. Unscrew that rascal, clean and inspect for damage, put her back together and you're good to go.

Don't see anything as described, this was a penske rental truck converted to a dump truck, you able to shoot a pic of what it might look like? Thanks for reply

That fuel pro takes the place of the rock strainer. The red know on the bottom is for fuel/water drain. That's it. Spin new cartridge on when you're due. Nice set up.

Having put new injectors, new navistar icp and ipr and new hpop and still no start even with spray in air cleaner, any thoughts on what's next?

Step one, got oil pressure? Step 2 do you have cam and crank signal? Is your tach moving? Step 3 you sprayed a modern diesel? Step 3 unplug the IPR, it causes the HPOP to send full oil to the injector control rail. Make absolutely sure your batteries are strong and you have them on boost. Step 4 CRANK that poor engine for extended times. Be cautious you don't smoke your starter. You'll hear a difference in sound when she's getting ready to fire. You'll hear something similar to a cackle. Once she fires up, plug the IPR back in while she's running. Then make sure you have no leaks and take her for a good 25 mile stretch, load the snot out of it.
Let us know how you make out. Good luck

Started 1st of July, was dumping a load and died on me. Had mechanic come out 1st mechanic said icp pressure so changed icp, didn't help next time came out said thought might be ipr so picked up aftermarket ipr, mechanic came out his "pro something" diagnostic tool not linking up, put ipr in hoping was problematic, didn't help.At this point it was running sounded good till warmed up then 333 code comes up. Called international mechanic, came out put guage on hpop was getting g 4000 psi so he said was injectors, had new injectors put in. Pulled 333 code and into limpmode, put in navistar ipc and ipr would still running sounding good till warmed up then pulls code a d misses and eventually dies. Internationalechanic again hooked guage to hpop and got reedi g of 500 psi on both diagnostic tool and guage. Took guage off and then wouldn't start. Replaced remanufacutured hpop and still no start. Mechanic going g to check hpop tomorrow and try to get started if I can't today. Only runs 2 batteries with 950 cranking psi each 1st one on charged was 85% haven't put 2nd one on charger yet, would both batteries at 85% cause no start?

If you have good cranking rpm and good ICP, I have to suspect the cam / crank sensors. Inside the battery box, iirc, there should be a pair of fuse holders. Check those fuses. Are you able to retrieve flash codes from the dash?
