PS, i have no manuals for the machine. Other than the main Nachi pump going last July i have had no problem with the machine
Here is a link to the workshop manual online. I don't think its a complete copy but it has a lot of useful info like diagrams and performance specifications.I do not have any manuals for my machine.
Referencing from the parts diagram in my previous post, see if you can remove the cable from the spool by removing the cotter pin (#9) from the clevis pin (#27) then remove the clevis pin from the clevis fork (#26) to free up the cable. Then try and push the spool in using the wooden end of a hammer or something similar and see if the boom swing works. Some spool springs are quite heavy and cant be manually pushed or pulled by hand and so you need a little bit of extended leverage. If the swing boom works then you need to remove the cable for further inspection or replacement. As Harley pointed out the Morse type cable must be securely anchored at one end for it to work properly otherwise it may only work one way and not the other.inal test. Had a friend stop by and help test the cable..so now how to explain so it makes sense to you both. The cable moves in both directions and returns to center. Pulling up swings boom to the left pulling the spool no problem, pushing down the cable moves about the same distance as going up but it does not push the spool into the valve. So basically i have neutral and up(swing left) but no cable movement at the valve end to push the spool in. I dont understand where the pushing down equal movement goes but i know its not at the other end of the cable by the valve. Is there any way of a cable working at one end but not the other but only in 1 direction. No more questions from me guys i wait for your recommend repair advise.
