A real Handy Andy Little Giant. If Paul Bunyon had a 5, Blue the big ox could have been retired to pasture. Classic! There's some really good older equipment promotional films.

Some of the footage shown at the "Proving Grounds" announced in Springfield, IL, was actually in Mechanicsburg, which is just east of Springfield. The "Mechanicsburg Blacktop" was the quasi drag strip in those days between the two cities/towns as always maintained well. Before I had a driver's license we used to hitchhike out there when skipping school to watch them abuse equipment, (oh, I meant "test") or use it harder than it would ever theoretically endure in service.

Many of my high school friends relations put that equipment together, or worked there, so was always easy "free reign" to watch, (or ride along).

Loved the one on the hd5
Here is the one on our farm in Australia
My dad brought it new in the 50's got rid of the shovel put that blade on it. It spent most of its life shoving timber and stoking fire piles as we cleared our farm. When I came home we had the motor rebuilt and the gearbox done up and it still pays its way following our d6c around shoving timber and stoking firepiles!
