I have a Genie GTH-5519 extensible forklift and also a Case 1845B skid steer. I am interested in getting an attachment for the Genie to allow me to use the skid steer attachments on it. The Case skid steer can really tear up the ground, particularly when soft while the Genie is pretty gentle on the landscape. The reach of the Genie could also be helpful in some situations. In searching the internet, I have found some Genie to Universal Skid Steer attachments that should work. One of the attachments is from SkidSteers.com and is just over $2500 with free shipping. Another is from Haugen and is also about $2500, not sure about shipping. Yet another is from Terex at about $2800, but again, I don't know about shipping but the sales room is about 200 miles away so I could drive there if necessary. A cheaper alternative appears to be a $1400 unit from Lancaster on which I also don't know shipping costs. It is hard to judge the quality from website photographs. The Lancaster looks like it might be of slightly lighter construction but almost no details are given on the website. I have limited familiarity with Haugen so other things being equal, I would go with them. However, if the Lancaster is about as good, and the shipping is reasonable, it would be nice to save a $1,000. I am deaf and can't use a voice phone and the Lancaster site lists only a phone number to call with no email address. So my long winded lead up is to ask if anyone has any familiarity with Lancaster equipment and would they recommend it. Are there any other similar attachments for the Genie that you would recommend.

I don't have an answer for you but instead the same question - I am about to get a 5519 and want to put a skid steer plate on it. seems worth it to have a sturdy adapter as these machines are pretty stout compared to some skid steers

I payed 1400 for an adapter from JD equipment and rental in Denver, PA and from the pics that I have seen I think it is very similar to the one that Lancaster equipment sells. So far it has been working well... I have a sawmill and I use the 5519 to lift packs of lumber that are heavy enough that it barely lifts. The only thing I noticed was two little metal tabs that came off but the carriage works perfectly fine without them, I don't know why they were even there.
