One of the two rear axle side to side articulation pins has been backed out since I got the loader, I tried to get it back in before and couldn’t. This time we worked above it with the engine gone, it still took about 3 hours. Can’t really get to it, and kept trying different things. It really didn’t want to go in.
Both pins had a mounting plate welded to one end, both were broken off. The other pin they had already welded a plate to keep the pin from coming out the other end.
So I took my son’s 110/220 welder up, and a borrowed generator. Every time I struck an arc it about killed the generator, even when I went from 1/8” to 3/32” rod.
It’s on, but I don’t know if it’ll hold. I guess I need to hit it with a hammer. I’m also considering renting a welder with an engine on it, and just burning through better.
