Hi All,
I looked at a Dresser TD7Ewith the power shift transmission today. It ran fine in all gears, Forward and Reverse. The clutch pressures were zero until I shifted into gear then they pegged out the gauge instead of remaining in the green range. I believe the spec pressure range is 160-175 psig. The manual gives instructions for shimming to INCREASE pressure but there is no mention of reducing pressure. I would assume that removing shims would reduce the pressure.
It seems to me this excessive pressure would be harmful. What do you experts say? What's the fix?
Thanks in advance
Jerry
