I've got D4G that acted similar this passed summer emptied tank out last month blew all the lines out stuck a flash light in the tank and found a vent cap off a 5 gallon fuel pail and a little bit of dirt and crap on the bottom of tank . Cleaned it out seems to be ok now , but haven't ran it a lot since .

Is it venting? It probably is because if it wasn't I don't think it would run that long. Just my $.02

Another thought. Try disassembling all the fittings at the bottom of the tank on the fuel feed line to the engine. There is often a check valve (or even a manual shutoff valve) that tends to attract dirt because it's a smaller diameter than the rest of the pipework. While you have it all apart also try blowing compressed air back into the tank to make sure the suction tube is clear.

Last question. Wen did you last drain the tank of water & sediment..? It's supposed to be done every week.
