Dayum! that makes for a long day! That Ford looks to be at risk of a rollover. 1935 truck?
You know Willie allot of people would like to or think we should go back to the 50's, why stop there.
These folks that work out in a gym, no need for that. All the work they can handle from sun up to
sun down. No need for high vis vests or beards, get allot done too. No cell phones either. Folks back
then didn't have service trucks, just a bucket full of crude looking wrenches. Wiped their ass with
the leftovers of a old burlap bag too--nice and coarse--grabbed all the berries.Tractor & horses on Jo-So HU ranch slope.JPG

I see even photographers back then weren't immune from trying to make things more dramatic. Looks like he couldn't resist tilting the camera to make it look stepper than he is. Or everyone has had too much to drink and can't stand straight.

Most all of these were taken by amateur photographers, wasn't quite as speedy as the
I-Phone.

My grandfather died sort of quickly in 1942. He cut meat, killed pork & beef, had a dairy farm, 25 milkers, Rented space in the center of town where he had refrigeration, ran a meat market until 1937 when the building burned down. Then he moved buildings from Mount Tabor, a ghost town. I have no idea when he slept.

People didn't lay around sleeping back then--there probably wasn't anyone to fend for you,
you had to do it yourself.

What makes me hear that old song, "Give me 40 acres, and I'll turn this rig around!", when I see this French half-track?

I hate to think what riding that ol' JD would be like, with the bare steel seat, steel lugged wheels, and hard ground!

Painful piles, prostate problems, and even damaged spinal vertebrae after many years of driving that thing?

Rubber pneumatic tyres for tractor were still a number of years off, and it was only 5 years previous that trucks moved over to pneumatic tyres from solid rubber!

Operators of today think a piece of equipment is totally substandard if it doesn't have a glass, fully enclosed A/C cabin with a premium sound system!

It looks like the big leaf spring seat mount. I'd think that'd launch you over the moon after a big bounce. A New Jersey state trooper bought land here, was going to put in a mobile home as a hunting camp. Borrowed an old two cylinder John Deere dozer to clear the land. He was backing up, seat broke off. His wife watched in horror as it backed over him, killing him.

Someone's been having fun, photoshopping a photo of an old Holt tractor?

It almost looks like something our old trucking buddy, Ted "Swishy" Beamish would produce!

Seems like "Swishy's photo album" and his clever photo touch-up work have disappeared now, though.
