Gentlemen i have a customer with a Mini hoe (Cat 304 Serial NAD01687) that appears to have had several repairs to the end of the stick the bushing mount has been replaced and rewelded several times and maybe not all that great a job. at present the bushings are out again so customer has decided to go ahead and replace the entire stick and a used one would be his preference. i am trying to determine 1) what was the factory part for this machine and is it the right thing for his job? 2) where could one find a good used part that we could install new pins and bushings in and have a good job at the end?
thanks for your time.

thanks Nige! i spent a good deal of effort hunting one down and was so far unsuccessful at finding a used one. we might be able to have it go to a real welding shop and get a redo on the end bushing mount. thanks again appreciate your response here.

G..G..G..Granville.........!! Fetch your cloth.
You may find this useful.
The only comment I will make about repairing sticks is that I have seen so many fail as a result of people trying to weld-repair them working only from the outside. The key to any successful stick repair IMHO is cut it open on one side or the other to make an access hole large enough so that you can get inside to weld. That gives you a fighting chance of the repair lasting.
