Good Morning,
I have an issue with a Cat 259D3 (0K5S01799) and was wondering if anybody has run into this same issue. About a month ago this skid steer came in with no hydraulic functions, it would turn on just fine but would have no functions. Found out it was a sheared coupling because the fan would not come on and pulled the engine to replace it. Checked the pump shaft and inspected the engine and the only thing i found that could cause this was the 2 bolts that hold the pump to the engine were relatively loose. Was told to just put a new coupling and hope it was a one off thing. Fast forward to last week, the same unit came in with the same issue, starts just fine but has no functions and fan would not come on. Pulled the pump and found it had stripped the coupling again, The time though the bolts were tight. I guess my question is has anybody else dealt with this, im leaning more to a pump issue but i dont want to get to ahead of myself, any help/info is appreciated!
