The trouble with all that get wound up over old stuff getting recycled, {if it was up for
sale posted on CL or FB-MP then why didn't they buy it}.

A vette owner I know--{wow a 1964 tanker corvette was just lost in a tornado}-two years ago.
{What a shame that's just disgusting he said}.
Well there Don look at it this way, yours just increased in value, you should be happy, it's part
of the capitalistic view. Their loss was your gain, your car is even rarer now, thank the tornado
gods for a little added value, lets see your best happy tornado dance.

If every piece of iron was saved, the country side would be a eyesore.

Too funny--I'm having concrete poured for a extension of patio, adding a section 12' x 18'.
And the old employer brought by a nice tiled rectangle table with patio chairs he had {free}
can't turn that down.
Anyway while he was here I showed him the ad for the 351A Pete, {I'll buy it, get ahold
of the guy and see if it's still available, you can tow it back can't you?} -----------------------
What the heck, I guess so Chris. So if it isn't sold yet ?????

Another thread caused me to remember the wonderful days. Putting a coffee can with about
1/2 inch of bleach in it just inside the back doors on a refer load of strawberries.

I’ve never hauled a load of berries so I have to ask…..
Strawberries. When loading those, never want to see all red in the flats plus better pulp
test on the cool 40/45* side. Berries all should be lighter red when loading, a straight
load of berries enclosed in a refer give off a gas {ethylene} and no air circulation with
berries trapped in layers of flats can cause to ripen faster, which can lead to hair {mold}.
Bleach limits ethylene, the can is removed a hundred miles out and vents opened. Dock
managers check all produce loads at major terminals, a load can get rejected if any mold
is found. Now days most are packaged in clear plastic containers, so the old trick doesn't
work. And this was back when load seals weren't tracked like now.

About 98% sure I will be going to Lebanon Ore next week to tow that 69 Pete back to
Walla Walla. Might have found a Military in crate surplus 8V92 with jakes, for a very
reasonable price. Final price was $6.500 for Pete, so I will have another pile to resurrect,
although this one is pretty straight and hasn't been ruined.

Put it on the floor the whole way. Don't forget the ear plugs. You might have a little sanity left when you get home.;)
Nah, it's coming home on the company tow unit. Only issue is main box has problems--he said
that up front, but that's ok because I have a ten speed--10 x 4.
