This is my 63 f600. I wanted a truck like it but didn't know how useful it would be. I gave scrap price for it and got a 64 with a rebuilt 330. I put all the good stuff on the 63 and did a bunch of work making sure it was in good shape without spending much money. Its been one of the best things i have ever owned. If i know it was going to be so useful i would have got something newer but other than speed it will do everything a newer truck can do and for the most part I dont have to go to far when i am using it. Its been a gift from above.
Does that little GMC have a 3116 in it? I had that little Cat engine in 3 of my old GMC's. Some say they were junk, but mine were all very dependable little diesels.I am not sure what brought the ideal in my head but i needed to move some trailers the job was going to pay good enough that i could about pay for a truck. Then i would have 3 trucks The ford flat bed,the IH pole truck and the 1995 GMC . I thought i would buy the GMC lengthen the frame to to hold a flatbed dump roll off bed and also put a winch and pole setup like the IH has. Then I would have one truck to do the work of 3. I used the GMC to move the trailers then put a winch on it but i got busy with life and never lengthened the frame . Now i am glade i didnt when something happens to the ford a dump trailer to pull would work and having a truck with gin poles ready to go seems to work good instead of putting poles on a truck every time its needed. What would life be like if we had a crystal ball to see the future instead of trying stuff out to see what works ?
No it has a 366 or 427 on propane . I was going to switch it over to gas but i have been buying a permit to burn LP for the past few years . I need to take time at the first of next year and get it setup to burn gas.Does that little GMC have a 3116 in it? I had that little Cat engine in 3 of my old GMC's. That probably applies to the owner also, it takes a certain wardrobe/look to even standIt's different but not very practical for anything.
