First one of that model that I have ever seen, set up as a tandem dump. Pretty neat.
Yeah kind of a odd pick for a dumper, has 4x4 boxes progressive. I bet that was a cooker
in summer, no power steering with that 471 rear axle ratios had to be in the 7's plus it had
top drop Spicer axles. The whole truck looked original, setting on top of that 471 had to be
terrible.

Actually saw one forty some years ago, head was busted as been run hot puking water. White Compact city truck at the Old Monroe fertilizer yard. Owner pleaded to find parts, Cummins parts man was my age now, laughed when gave him the CPL. could not believe one was still around.
A guy that collects old International stuff west of town has a IH with a JT-6. It runs not real
good, but it does run. He also has a West Coast, but a odd one with a very odd Cummins
V-8. I don't remember the model of the truck or engine, I think it runs too but not sure.
One of these days I'll have to run by his place and get some photos of it, A 50's model
Cummins if IIRC only one like that I have ever seen. I know the guy fairly well, he also has
a 405 model High Binder a bunch of tractors all kinds of IH stuff.

In 1962 LeTourneau took on the task to build "the ultimate land train", the TC-497 Overland Train MkII. Two of its 12 trailers were dedicated to carrying the four Solar gas-turbine engines (1,170hp each / 4,680hp total) and spin generators to propel it across arctic conditions as well as sand and desert.

I wonder what they used it to haul? It looks like the Eisenhauer Company was in Van Wert Ohio, not very far from me.
