A better parts cleaning solvent than Brake Parts Cleaner?

Walter has Bio-Circle parts washers. They used to only lease them with service contracts but now they sell them outright. There are different cleaning solutions to choose from. Not sure how popular Walter is in the US? They're a Canadian company and have premium products from grinding wheels and exclusive grinders made by Metabo to specialized chemicals for industrial applications and Surfox machines for pickeling stainless steel welds.

Dozen yrs ago Bio-Circle was pushed hard it's green. Jay Leno is there spokesperson it uses organic oil eating magic in there washers so it's safe but sludge left behind need a regular service contract.

We use the solvent 5 gallon drums and sprayers to wash out stuff like axle housings

We use brake cleaner as a final wash and for general purpose cleaning

I always wore gloves unlike some of the cowboy morons but I’m glad not to be exposing myself to harsh chemicals on a daily basis again

By the way a surprising solvent is regular, plain old diesel. One job I had several years ago was to install fast fill systems on a couple dozen new machines for a customer and to do this we had to drain the tanks down below a certain level. We pumped the diesel into our slimy three inches of sludge deep gunked up drain pans. After letting them sit overnight and pumping the pans out we found the diesel had completely dissolved the sludge and carried it away when pulled out.

I get washout solvent for the shop for cleaning metal, cleaning out hydro tanks whatever, where you aren't worried about paint melting off, put it in sure shots or use the air gun. Green CRC for small field stuff or painted stuff.

We've got a few parts washer filled with diesel, keep em topped off or change out with fuel pumped from equipment for contamination, let it settle in the salvage drum and pump it out with a transfer tank filter. Old stuff gets mixed with the used oil totes for disposal.

Been using diesel in my parts washer for 25+ years. Started using gloves in my 20’s but might have been too late.
