Yeah, that's probably the wisest thing to do.

Cat D5G, Joystick Control Module Repair; S/N RKG01078

It's the control module for sure. That's a plug n play but the joystick would require a re-calibration. Perhaps I'll change both to start fresh.

Cat D5G, Joystick Control Module Repair; S/N RKG01078

I'm buying a 2004, D5G with a joystick, control module that needs to be repaired. The range of motion is limited when trying to steer to the right so it's a mechanical problem. Does anyone know of a solid company that can rebuild these or where I can buy a rebuilding kit? Cat says it's not...

    Best Excavator Buckets

It's going on a Linkbelt 160. I actually did reach out to Bedrock but they don't make a non-progressive, weld-on thumb. Fleco has a nice thumb but the back plate is too wide for my stick. I believe their standard 26x58 is more for a Cat 320 size machine. I went with another North Carolina...

    Best Excavator Buckets

Interestingly, my neighbor up the road has a Deere 210G with a Fleco thumb and he loves it so I’ll probably go with that.

    Best Excavator Buckets

Reviving this old thread….Has anyone bought a thumb or bucket from either Fleco or East Attachments? I’m considering purchasing a mechanical thumb from these two companies. Their designs are a little different (both use an A arm and use AR-400) but I’m not knowledgeable enough to know which is...

    JCB 220LC knowledge

Thanks for that, I assumed there is a reason that I don't see many JCBs in our area. I don't see that many on Machinery Trader either. Perhaps I should stick with my original plan with a Deere.

    JCB 220LC knowledge

Hello all, I’m new to excavators so I’m hoping someone can educate me on the JCB brand as it pertains to part commonality with other manufacturers, reliability and so forth. I wasn’t even considering this brand /model but this 220 popped up near me so I think it’s at least worth looking at...
