Loader not responding correctly to inputs.

Has it always done this? When did it start?

    Hard to start. White smoke.

If I can get the glow plugs out, I just hit wire them from the battery and if they don’t get red hot in 3 to 4 seconds, I replace them. The 6 dollar volt meter isn’t a perfect idea, it just takes a 1/2 hour to install and gives me an idea of what’s going on. I have about a 50/50% on OHMing out...

    Hard to start. White smoke.

On my machines with glow plugs, I put a crappy Amazon voltage gauge. This is to let me know batteries condition and to specifically look for volts draw, when glow plugs are activated. This helps know that they are all working and their health. I kinda memorize the draw and keep an eye on it, for...

    Hard to start. White smoke.

Well, you’re sucking air from somewhere. Some machines are just hard to start. My Kubota V2203 likes the glow plugs if it’s below 60 degrees. My Case 580 SE can be on and off, really doesn’t like winter fuel blend. My other Kubota, doesn’t care what temperature, starts right up. Think a lot of...

Any body guys here? Straightening some sheet metal on cab and door

I have a rule on equipment with cabs. Never move with the door open, AT ALL. My brother didn’t seem to understand, that not only is it bad for the hinges and struts, it’s dangerous. He bent the crap out of my door, backing into the side of his garage, ripping the gas strut, right off. I was able...

    480e hydraulics

Huh I was able to get in there from the side panel on my 580 SE with a 12” extender on one of my grease guns.

2003 New Holland LB75B - Backhoe transit lock problem

It has to move. Get a BFH, or somehow use its own hydraulics to pull down on it or up on the base. I agree with Dave, take #7 right out of the equation.

    2012 323d Deere random hard/no starts

I would check for taper in all cylinders but especially in #1.

Looks like someone repaired it once before!

2003 New Holland LB75B - Backhoe transit lock problem

I think it may just be frozen up. the ball and socket connect to the boom lock cable, to the lever inside the cab. Being that it was a repaint, some paint may have found someplace it shouldn’t be. Unless someone did something really crazy like welding something, which it doesn’t look like, that...

    Xcmg brand mini excavator

Maybe after 3 years, someone would have some excellent reviews, good or bad.

299D2 Caterpillar Lift Assist Spring gas Shock Support (Replacement) to Raise Cab

Nope, I was thinking the standard ball and socket type retainers. That just looks like a threaded T. Not something that hard to make. McMaster may have something like that. Or something else, check on Amazon.

    Oil leak under steering wheel

Depends, if the top orbital seal goes bad on the shaft, they will leak out underneath the steering wheel.

Cylinder rebuilt in shop in 2023 had rod nut back off during use.

Of all the calamities that can happen on equipment, a piston nut or bolt backing off, is one my worst fears. I have had it happen a few times over the years, so I am pretty anal about how I put them back. I just did a Kubota cylinder last week and while I despise their compression rings, getting...

299D2 Caterpillar Lift Assist Spring gas Shock Support (Replacement) to Raise Cab

Might want to post a picture of the piece you are referring to, from the other side. I have replaced so many gas struts and pistons over te years, I have a bin full of ball joint connectors and keeper pins, of all styles. If that’s what piece you are talking about?

    1969 580 fuel filters

Sounds like someone, in the last 60 years, may have changed the filter base.

nice sized machine, wrong size truck!

    Simple things difficult to find

This is kinda funny, as I am simply disgusted with the lack of barbed fittings depth lately. It’s like the barbs are just barely there and I end up using pipe dope and offset double clamps, to get anything to seal good lately.
