Does anyone know where i can find a used or reasonably priced shop repair manual for a 1986 D4H Cat dozer serial # 8PB00511 with a 3204 ? Been needing and wanting one since I bought the machine in 2015. Now I HAVE to have one for the shop that has my injector pump. They don't have the info to put it back together . Need to know HP , RPM's , and governor settings. Cat must be very proud of their's for the price they want. I'll dance at your NEXT wedding if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks

I did a quick search on ebay and only found 1 service manual. It was on a disc. It was only $59.00. It might be worth a try for that kind of money.

Eastern European knock off for that price. Stay well away would be my advice. There is a reason why they are so cheap.

To the OP. What is your engine Serial Number and better still what is the Test Spec Number from the engine data plate.? If I am correct all the info you are looking for can be found in that Test Spec.

Caveat: The information below ONLY applies if the tractor still has the original engine S/N 45V53700.

I have been digging and found two possible Test Spec Numbers (0T8572 & 0T5375) for your engine Arrangment Number which is listed as a 1N-3608. One is for Nominal 99 BHP, the other for Nominal 105 BHP. So we need to know which of the two above Test Spec Numbers is shown on the plate on your engine.

I contacted one of those $59 sites by chat in the early morning hrs (3AM) this morning. Pretty sure Nige is correct on them being an Eastern Euro Ai bot because of the replies I was getting back. Couldn't tell me if the info I was asking about on here was even in the link they were selling, but did say there was no refund if it wasn't. Been looking everywhere for this info and had talked to one of Cat's tech line guys earlier in the day. He had told me at that time, because it's a 1986 machine, & all my spec plates are missing, he would have to go to the microfilm to see. I wasn't expecting a reply. Long story short, missed his return calls but he did say he was able to pull it up and could email me. Left my email on V-mail now in waiting mode again. Want to thank everybody on here that replied to my inquiry and whenever I get that email I'll be sure to let y'all be the second ones to know what it says. Injector shop being the first. Thank you guys a bunch.
PS. Hope y'all ain't looking to get married again. I'm a terrible dancer. Lol

Tell you what. Have both the spec sheets just in case........

I think the 0T5375 is your one because the other one has an "effective Serial Number" of 45V63190 which is higher than your engine.
I also discovered that early 8PC 85-89 models were listed at 90 drawbar HP and later 8PC 89-90 models were listed at 95 drawbar HP. With your tractor being an 86 I'm pretty confident that it is the 0T5375 Test Spec @ 99 Nominal BHP
