I have a TB240 2017 model year with a problem. It's throwing codes 612 and 8005. Code 612 is a CAN communication error (OX024) and 8005 is Pump PWM output voltage error (too low). The dealer has put in a new master module, a new sub module, and run an extra ground to the safety solenoid. I put a new key switch in it myself. The dealer claims there is nothing they can find wrong with the harness. Sometimes it'll start up and work fine. Other times every time you start it up, it's beeping and flashing. Has no throttle response so it's stuck at low idle. Anybody ever run into this? Any thoughts or ideas?

Check on the right operating lever if the Deceleration Button is depressed. Press again to release.
I was unaware it had this feature. Either way, it's constantly beeping and flashing at you. I'm going to try to fix my harness I guess. It's got a bad Can wire.

That's what mine is doing as well I have a new fusebox with wire harnesses in and ecm and new power relay replaced all relays and I have a heavy equipment program computer that I guess won't work for this unit I have to call the manufacturer and find out why! The motor runs perfect the wiring harnesses are so expensive we have 1700 and they want another 800 for one and 1100 for the other one to make it all new wiring between the control boxes so expensive crazy but my email is [email protected]!! I will re wire the hole thing my self before I pay for another harness from them I'm very good at build full harness for show builds I just need some direction on the placement thank you very much for the time!

Hello, I'm new here and having this same exact issue. I've been through the fuse box, safety switch and several other connections trying to find something wrong but nothing. Have yall had any luck figuring it out?

It apparently ended up being the wiring harness. I'm going to dig into it and try to fix it since it was $11,000 for the dealer to put a new harness on it. The wiring harness itself is about $1200. According to them the machine has to basically be split in half to do it. I just went the end of last week to get it from the dealer as they repeatedly were supposed to give me a trade in value towards a TB260 but couldn't get their act together for months.

Have you called Takeuchi USA, and spoke to the guys in the service department? If so, what did they say? I have found them to be helpful at times.

John, thanks for your reply. I find it hard to believe the wiring harness is causing the issue, as I'm sure you agree.

Peter, I haven't tried that, honestly hasn't even crossed my mind. Thank you for the advice.

Another option is contacting your local United Rental dealer for them to do the repair work. United Rental mechanics work on a lot of Takeuchi machines, and have been doing so for much longer than many of the Takeuchi Dealers. In our area, our Takeuchi Dealer changes every 4-5 years, and their mechanics are not Takeuchi experts.
