with measurement we are the same us older guys lift the pavement a couple of inches and shave off 15 mm. back in the day when metric was introduced in australia iwas a roller driver the old grader driver didnt want to know about metric ,i was stringlineing and giving hand signals one finger 10mm two 20 mm ect thumb up or down and he kept cutting too heavy so turn around and push it back in. he started roaring and yelling at me then we realised im talking metric and he's cutting inches.

I still do the conversion in my head. I have a standard rod in my truck for taking shots when doing private work. Most of the government people are metric. When I ask how thick the base will be so I can cut out the joint, and he says 100 mills, I think 4 inches. My 14 foot moldboard is 4.2 meters. But the job is staked at 25 meter sections for placing gravel, and 12.5 meters for fine grading. I'm 52, but I know a lot of older guys that use all metric, and to tell the truth, I have started using a metric tape measure when wood working because the math is easier than having to deal with fractions

My roads are littered with them in my area, this one caused a lot of problems in the winter time iceblading and plowing, this is just one of many I pulled this year, has made a huge difference in the roads
Looks like you found a nice one lol I have rocks like that also in my roads I went around with a backhoe and dug lot of the bad ones out spent a week and ended up hauling 5 dump truck loads of rock away definitely needed to be done definitely saving my carbide edges now not banging into rocks anymore.

I’ve been getting all my roads ready for winter getting rid of my maintenance windrow and everything in shape for freeze up going to be starting dirt work this coming week have 5 half miles of back sloping fence lines and cleaning out the ditches been catching some awesome sunsets here are a few pictures also with daylight savings time and getting to work with the lights on I love the led lights on my new 150’s I highly recommend them

Nice pics, been doing the same with my roads, prepping for the winter, my fall pre winter grade is done now other then some touch ups, hoping to start putting on some plow gear soon, got 6 new mich snow plus tires to go on this year, 36000 kms or 30,000 miles on the factory set, 6500 miles in reverse showing on the meter.
