Hi all - I have a newer 308d with a 3.3l engine that appears to be leaking oil at the seam where the lower crankcase meets the block. The engine has a stamped steel oil pan that bolts to an upper crankcase which incorporates the main bearing caps. i dyed the oil and have pinpointed it to this seam/seal. Has anyone ran into this type of leak before? its a low hour machine and the owner is skeptical. To me it looks like the engine will have to be removed and the lower end will have to come apart to address this leak.
