At least we know what happens if you wipe with poison ivy . . .
If one has never experienced the wrath of nettle--little/tiny stinging barbs that really like
tender skin, used as a$$ wipe because it has large leaves can be rather painful because
of the friction of a$$ cheeks grinding it in even more--every step just adds to the fire.:)

Are there really any great external hood latches? In my experience as a Ford guy and my whole family being Ford also, I can't think of any year being that great, GM definitely was better. No idea about Dodge, never owned one and never will.
Once they removed that scalping hook and replaced it with a simple hoop, I didn't have any problem.

I have been looking for one of those older 4x4 Dodge pickups, but nice ones are pretty hard to find, or too expensive. Years ago, I restored a 58 Dodge W100 Power Giant. Later I did a 69, W200 Power Wagon. Those were tough old trucks. I still like the older 4x4 Dodge trucks

Biggest issue for any 80's and down Dodge pickups--finding electrical parts.

A grandfather of mine, mom's side was a trucker and he told me so many stories back then when he was on the road.He loved the older Mack Trucks from the 1950s and 1960s.Three were the B models, LT and H-63. Every time I see one, reminds of the stories he told.I remember him taking me on a ride in a 1953 LT when I was about 8 years old

In the photo above take note of the technology back then----Note the piston skirt length,
long skirts. By the time the late 70's rolled around internals were changing, now days a
stroker piston skirt is only about 1/3 the length of those with very narrow gapless rings.
And looking close those possibly are nothing more than cast pistons, the rods appear to
be reworked stock rods. The piston pin was relocated to make a stroker--but money in
those days was tight and getting forged didn't always happen.
