Here goes again!!!!

This is what happened to the contractor when he went to get fuel. They are performing repairs to our office complex after the storm Ivan visited the area. No one was injured, thankfully.

I think this is the one Will was trying to post. Download from the online album of the guy who shot the pic, resize so the site will accept the file and upload it. It's a pain in the butt, and you lose some of the quality, but this one should show what happened.

BTW, that's a CAT 330...

Just to add some background to the picture above...

Ivan caused a lot of flood damage in the Pittsburgh area. When Will and I work together, it's usually for the people who built this office complex. This picture was taken the day aftere the flood.

There's a busy highway running along the property, and an 8' diameter corrugated metal pipe that carries the stream through the property. During the flood, major damage occured, mainly in the form of undermining the pavement alongside the buildings. In this pic you can see the top of the CMP at the far end of the hole. This is the same spot where the 330 fell in. there was just enough room to walk the machine past the hole, but, obviously, the ground was not strong enough to hold the weight. The gray conduit in the foreground carries the phone service into the building. Although not seen in the photo of the CAT, it's about 3 feet behind the track at the rear of the machine.

One more. The outlet end of the pipe, with the concrete endwall.
