Help! 1997 JCB 214S backhoe stuck in reverse

Using backhoe today. Running great moving pea gravel with front end loader. Back up, put in forward, won't move. Put in neutral, goes backwards. It's like forward is neutral and neutral and reverse are both reverse. But won't crank now because I think it thinks it's in gear and only hear a "click" somewhere....
