Been running perfectly since I talked my way through the code 0015 issue. BUT, there has always been a nagging problem with the bolt hole for holding the starter assembly onto the engine being stripped. My work around was to jam the assembly onto the motor (with bolt in place, just wouldn't tighten) with wood shims. This worked for a long while but vibrated apart while in the air today. There must be a grounding function asssociated with the assembly being attached because the engine would not increase idle for lift functions and the engine ran-on after shutting down.

I killed it when trying to re-attach the bolt before re-shimming. The wrench touched something (the frame I think) and got a pretty nice spark out of it. Never the less, nothing comes on now. I checked the two fuses near the starter asssembly, F9 and F11. Nothing looks burnt on the circuit board. The battery charger said ok battery and the battery took a charge from 12.60 volts that was reading before I took it out. (re started many times while up cuz engine kept cutting off due to not increasing idle speed when demanded). Reset button under the circuit board box is "loose", Im guessing it would pop "out" if if it needed to be reset (?)

I see a 30A circuit breaker (CB2) on the electrical schematic but don't know where it is on the machine to check it. Is there someting else fuse-like to check? Is there some basic procedure I'm missing? Maybe something welded in a circuit and messsed it up? I'm pretty handy but electrical know-how eludes me beyond what my eyes can see.

Further review suggests Fuse F11 is that funky looking Holdwell fuse. CB2 must also be a fuse. I think then, that I checked all the fuses showing on the schematic.

Ok, it doesn't make sense that I touched the frame. There are no exposed wires amongst the pile that is crammed in that area either. Likely touched where the postive battery cables attach to the frame. Still, should that shut down the whole show?

Well, finally had time and weather to start hunting down the problem. Battery was just shy of full charge at 12.60, threw a quick 30 minute 10A charge on it. Installed battery and started testing. Showed same 13.5A as the battery at the first positive entry to the machine just after the big power cutoff and ahead of the 175A "holdwell?", F11 on schematic, fuse. Tested on other side of that fuse and...nothing. Well, that was easy. Double checked by turning on power at ground control and jumping the fuse and she came on. I'm not familiar with that fuse style and assum...er figured it would be really obvious if blown. The sight glass didn't look any darker than I remembered and, frankly, I never realized it was a sight glass anyway. Will post again if this rather pricey fuse doesn't actually fix her.

Thanks again for letting me work though this out loud. Hope someone else learns from my error.

Always disconnect negative battery terninal, before doing any electrical repairs to be on safe side. There are heli-coils that can be used to repair the stripped threads for the starter mount. Very important for a starter to be bolted up tight for good ground connection back to a battery. Yes the big 175A fuse can blow and not be seen with naked eye, but a meter will show it quickly. May be still some small problems after changing the 175 amp fuse, but you will have a good starting point.

Yes, it's the age old story--2 hours of work to do and two hours of light left. Ticked off and in a hurry so didn't disconnect the battery.......

The starter is actually attached well, it was just replaced. It's the starter key box that fell off. Right now I have a ground wire stuffed in the engine bolt hole until I can re-thread it or maybe use an insert (?)

Anyway, the new fuse got her running. But now I have another issue..........
