Had a leak on my injection pump several years back. Took it off and had rebuilt by local shop. Neighbor who stoped by that day said to be careful not to move the engine fan or roll the tractor while the pump was off or would throw timing off and she would smoke.
Well I’m an idiot and the fan got moved slightly. At the time I didn’t know what else to do so I mounted the fuel pump and fired the tractor up.
Runs good but does smoke a little more then I remember before taking off pump.
This was 10 years ago…..tractor been running light duty jobs ever since. Now I Finally have the bandwidth to maybe adjust and improve its condition.
Is there a procedure to remove pump and get the timing right?
