Bought this roller online knowing it didn’t vibrate. We put new solenoids on pump but still nothing. Had 20 something pressure out the pump. Pulled it and sure enough it was used up. They had to build a new one since mine was obsolete(‘95 model) machine. It hasn’t pumped since we got it back. 16 psi is all we get. At pump dealer they get 5000 psi. My question are there any relief valves down line from the pump? Everything works except vibrate so we know shaft is turning. I’m thinking the pump is bypassing inside but when they check it it works for them. Any ideas ???

What is the charge pressure? Sounds like you aren't getting enough oil to the pump. Does your hydraulic filter have a bypass? If not, when was it last changed? My roller couldn't get out of its own way until I changed the near impossible to change filter. I had to remove the whole filter assembly just to change the filter. Once changed, the unit could charge up a hill with no problem.

My vibe didn't work from the controls. The switches that activated the solenoids were long rusted away. I changed out the switches and now have vibe - actually, too much vibe. The previous owner probably kept jacking up the relief pressure as the charge pressure dropped. Now the machine bucks while in vibe. I have to hook up a pressure gauge to see how much over pressure I have, then adjust back to specs.
