Damaged crank sensor

Had this happen before. End of crank sensor damaged. No damage to tone wheel. Nothing come out if sump. Nothing in filter. Never faulted again. Some things I just can’t explain.

On that machine, the tone wheel is on the flywheel (see below). Has this unit ever had a starter nose cone failure? Drive coupler failure? I suspect something in there flying around.

Post a picture of the damaged sensor.
