Picked up this Allis Chalmers ex-Navy ACC 60 DS. Does the DS mean it's diesel, it is. Got it running and have so far replaced 10 hoses. There's two more that I don't know how to get to them. Wonder if the front lift assembly needs to come off. Hoses marked with a red dot and the fitting is behind the blue dot in the picture.

It's missing something on the side of the motor. Looks like it may have been the stock fuel filter and bypassed it with a generic in line fuel filter. Can anyone id this motor? Serial # on the forklift is 524338. I'm looking for a manual or anyplace I can get info to work on this unit. Anyone know if there’s a manual on line somewhere? Thanks Joe.1.jpg

That fuel filter base is for the old Stanadyne square filters. It is missing the two spring clips that hold the filters on. One was usually a clear water separator and the second in line-of-flow was an actual fuel filter-either dark glass or metal. Filters and the clips should be available from several sources. Maybe someone stripped the threads on the bleeder screw in the mount but it appears that its still there. I personally liked those filters but the surface where the little grommets seal has to be smooth with no gouges or corrosion otherwise they won’t seal

Thanks for the info. I'm having a hard time finding any information on line on this AC. Do you know what motor is in it? Size? Is it an AC motor?

The engine is likely an A/C. They had their own engines used in both industrial and ag applications. As far as the hoses, they can be hard to get to so you likely need either crowfoot sockets, offset wrenches or heat and bend a cheap wrench to get into awkward places

Sent a couple military manuals to you via PM. They may or may not be useful but hopefully they help some.
