Looking at a 1994 International 9200 w/ 1 drop axle for $30k almost with about 740k miles on a 60 Detroit engine
The truck and bed seem in real nice shape for its age

Just wondering if that is a good deal and is that too many miles?

Im a demolition contractor so it probably wont average more than a few hours a day.
Looking for something to haul a 18k ish excavator and occasionally haul concrete or gravel.

I know a little.

Those era internationals are ok, still a cheaper truck.

I think most of the value and decision will be in the engine, a rebuild is very expensive now days so you need a guess on how long it will last. 750k is a lot but that should be one of the best or close to it s60's you can get. If there is good maintenance records it's probably fine. If there's a lot of green spray paint on the engine, maybe not. You could also freshen it up with new bearings and new oil pump.

Salvage engine is around $12k rebuild is way more

11.1 or 12.7L engine? it would be preferable to have a 12.7L. With that said it is common
to have the bull gear on front of engine checked at 750,000 on a Series 60. To replace a
bull gear normally runs $4,000 give or take probably $5,000 at todays prices. Does it have
any paper work on engine repairs? Injector harness will be next. Is the rear structure oily
or dry where it bolts to block {Bell Housing} it's a common leaking spot on high mileage 60's.
At 750,000 three external items that will be coming up for replacement if already have.
Engine fan clutch hub, air compressor, water pump. All easy to replace. The truck itself isn't
a bad model or a bad year. What transmission? Is the rear suspension International air ride?

Salvage engines are hard to find with low miles, any that have low miles verified by ECM are going
to be $15,000 and up. A OEM reman 12.7L right now is $38,000 with a $11,000 core charge plus a
90 day lead time to get get it.
