    problems with a northstar 10000ppg generator

    I have a Norhtstar 10,000ppg pro series generator. The problem is after it starts the generator immediately surges like under extreme load or short? and the gen engine loads up bad tries to shut down. It is definitely a gen issue not the motor but not sure where to go from here. Thanks Keith
