Frank, tap the hole you drilled and put a setscrew or a pipe plug in it, 1/16" NPT (you won't find that tap at local hardware store) or 1/8" NPT. -

as kc5x said, if you are at the end of track tensioning travel, the piston that the grease is pushing will be bottomed out, no more grease will pump into the fitting. if thats the case, I suppose its time for chain$ roller$ and $prockets. I rebuilt the tens. cyl. on my machine (posted a... -

found a used starter from guy in TX who sells dozer parts on ebay: ktbaugh. very nice to deal with, guarentees the starter to fit and work well. has UC and steering parts in stock, plus parting out a D21 right now -

D21-5 starter armature burned up as title sez, starter is shot. Took it to 'old school' starter/generator shop and they have no sources that supply replacement armatures for this starter. Komatsu price for a rebuilt is $780 plus $280 core, and even with old starter you must pay core so it can... -

Grease fittings not taking grease. What to do?
R Leo, the grease fittings on our Komatsu's are metric (10mm), I found a package of 8 or 10 assorted fittings at PepBoys auto parts for 5 bucks. With heat/oil/hammering/working I hope you've got those stubborn fittings to take grease MikeK -

R Leo, you are The MAN!! I ran my machine a few hours yesterday, pushing over white pines 20" dia. and 75-80' tall.....incredible what this 10k lb machine can do. I did not pull the floor pan yet, but have a feeling there is a brake adjustment for each steering lever under the pan... -

Been taming our mountain with the D21, this little dozer has impressed the heck out of me pushing over trees and moving dirt. Removing stumps with our old Case backhoe(1966 model 440) would require re-positioning the machine several times and take FOREVER to get 1 done. With the dozer I can... -

thanks.....so yesterday I spent a few minutes looking into the glow plug operation on my tractor. there is a (broken) pushbutton, that is factory installed, on the front of the drivers enclosure, lefthand side, below the throttle and gearshift. It has 2 wires going to it from wiring harness... -
