Hitach zx 75 ur. Boom pin and bushing removal.

I’d like to replace the pin and bushings for the main boom pin(where boom meets body) on my zx75 hitachi. It’s pretty tight in there. Hoses and tanks not allowing for much clearance. The pin has a threaded hole in it so i can get a threaded rod in there. Once I manage to get the pin out I...

Hitachi 75zxUR oil leaking from between pumps.

Yea I had a welder friend come by yesterday and he agrees tank should be pulled for best welding results. And .. It’s not my only leak. I ran the machine a bit yesterday and once it’s fired up and warm a little leak starts to creep out from between the two pumps as I have stated before. I...

Hitachi 75zxUR oil leaking from between pumps.

Well I found the source of a leak. There’s a crack at the bottom of the oil reservoir where the outlet pipe is welded on. any tips on fixing this. Obviously have a welder fix it would be an option. It’s a small crack though, maybe there’s an epoxy product that could patch it? Thanks.

Hitachi 75zxUR oil leaking from between pumps.

Hello pfpm I’m not sure if there are multiple shaft seals, I’m asking about it because a few people have mentioned that a bad shaft seal could result in increased pressure which could be causing the leak. I’m not for certain what the suction flange is. But I think I’ve got an idea what it...

Hitachi 75zxUR oil leaking from between pumps.

Thanks Harley happy. Because I have replaced those o rings multiple times I’m thinking if I take it apart again I should replace the shaft seal. Is anyone out there able to tell me if accessing the shaft seal for replacement is a simple enough procedure? My fear is that I get in there and...

Hitachi 75zxUR oil leaking from between pumps.

No offence take yang. I have gone through that process of cleaning off the pump in the past. The oil drips from the lowest point of the face between the two pumps. And it drips even when the machine is off. I’m aware of the vagueness of this issue. I have had conversions with multiple...

Hitachi 75zxUR oil leaking from between pumps.

Well because the rubber suction hose also seems to be leaking I’m not sure how much I’m losing from just the pump.(another issue that seems obvious and easy to fix but I replaces the hose and hose clamps and it’s still leaking. Its possibke its source is somewhere else. But hard to see much up...

Hitachi 75zxUR oil leaking from between pumps.

Hello, I’ve got a Hitachi 75ZXUR excavator it has oil leaking from what I believe is between the two pumps. I’ve taken one of the pumps off multiple times now to try to address the issue this most recent attempt to fix the leak. I took the pump off, cleaned everything with fine grit. Sandpaper...

Hitachi zx75 ur. Thumb/swing boom issues

Well I found the culprit. I did have some damage to the thumb cylinder a while back. Perhaps that where the metal shard came from. Probably better to get stuck in release valve than valve bank. But it does make me wonder if there more debris floating around and what kind of damage it can...

Hitachi zx75 ur. Thumb/swing boom issues

Hey uffex thanks for the reply. I’d like to clear a few things up. 1). When you refer to positive side of the cylinder. Would that be the line coming from the rod end port of the cylinder. That I assume would carry fluid back to the tank when the rod is being pushed out? 2). The line that...

Hitachi zx75 ur. Thumb/swing boom issues

I’m not certain that the little metal box is a relief valve. It’s just a theory. Does it look to you like a relief valve? As to on the connection tkk ok that “relief valve”. There is line coming from the directional control unit. It come out the right side of you look at picture. (Has black...

Hitachi zx75 ur. Thumb/swing boom issues

5th pic. Shot from further out of pic 4. 6th pic. Swing boom Let me know what other pics I should get you. I did notice some of the hoses have some damage. The rubber is cracking and missing in spots. Can old hoses cause issues in the ability of the oil to flow? Thanks so much for the help.
